Kala Patthar (5,550m)
Kala Patthar is a famous hill station from where you can see Mt. Everest very well. It is the place to see this tallest mountain from a close distance. You will visit this place while trekking to the base camp or direct on a helicopter from Kathmandu.
Most people hike up to this hill in the morning before returning. But you can hike in the evening at the sunset time. You can see 360 degrees mountain view from the top of this hill station. It takes around 2 hours from the place where you sleep after visiting the base camp.
Gokyo Ri (5,357m)
Gokyo Ri is in the Gokyo valley, which you can visit during the Gokyo lake trek. You also can hike this hill during the EBC Gokyo trek, Everest high passes trek or Renjo La pass trek. Gokyo Ri offers even better views than the Kala Patthar. But Everest is a bit far compared to Kala Patthar. You can see a bigger size of Everest from Gokyo Ri than Kala Patthar.
Not only Everest, but you can also see four high mountains above eight thousand meters from this hill station. Everest, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu, and Makalu are the big mountains that you can see from Gokyo Ri. Besides these big mountains, you can see lots of snow-capped peaks all around you from the top.
Renjo La Top (5,360m)
Renjo La top is another viewpoint from where you can see Everest. You will be at this view station while Gokyo Renjo La pass trek or during the Everest high passes trek. It offers a similar view to Gokyo Ri. After crossing this pass, you reach Thame valley, which is the Himalayan hidden valley.
Everest View Hotel (3,880m)
Everest view hotel is a luxury lodge in the Everest region. It is running by the Japanese management and is in an open hill station. There will be a rest day in Namche Bazaar during the Everest base camp trek. So, you will hike to this place on that day for acclimatization.
It will be your first view of Everest from Everest view hotel. Besides Everest, you can see Amadablam, Thamserku, Lhotse, Nuptse, and more peaks. You will pass a rough airport in Syangboche while the hike to Everest view hotel.
Tengboche Hill (3,860m)
You need to hike those viewpoints from the place where you sleep to see Everest, which has listed above. But you don’t need to walk to see Himalaya from your lodge if you are in Tengboche. You can even see the mountains from your bed. You will be in this place during the Everest base camp trek or Everest view trek.
Tengboche hill offers the best view of Mt. Amadablam. There is a historical ancient Buddhist monastery that you can visit in the evening or the morning at the offering time.
